Listen up, Men!

Men, listen up. This is a call to action for you. The wonderful women who are also following along, please pray for the men in your life that they may be open to this most important invitation as well. Mary is the mother of God,and as such she is our Mother, too. Several years ago a good man came into my life and invited me to the Indiana Catholic Men’s Conference. I accepted the invitation, but days before I almost backed out. I still vividly remember having the conversation with my wife. I thought I had too much to do… In the shop!! That was my excuse. She, thank the good Lord, reminded me of my incessant whining about not having any strong friendships with other so, I went. Father Michael Gaitley was the main speaker and among other incredible topics introduced me to St. Louis de Montfort total consecration to Jesus through Mary. This began a radical transformation that has saved my soul. I recently had these leather bracelets made. The one pictured is now on my wrist as a constant reminder of this consecration I made almost 4 years ago, and the other will be listed in the shop soon. Men, please take this to prayer and strongly consider this consecration if you are serious about a life of holiness and living out your vacation as a son of God and a spiritual son of Our Blessed Mother. We are at war against Satan, and Mary is our Queen and commander. As St Louis writes, “[The devil] fears one of [Mary’s] sighs for a soul more than the prayers of all the Saints, and one of her threats more than all other torments”. Could you be in better company than under the guidance and protection of our Lord’s most faithful and humble servant? Could there be any safer, surer, or straighter path? The answer is no. Do it for yourself, for your family, for our Mother, and for the greater glory of the Kingdom of God. “they shall have in their mouths the two-edged sword of the Word of God. They shall carry on their shoulders the bloody standard of the Cross, the crucifix in their right hand and the rosary in their left, the sacred names of Jesus and Mary in their hearts, and the modesty and mortification of Jesus Christ in their own behavior”
